It's AWANA Grand Prix time! Tess excitedly suggested to Joel that she wanted her car to be ballet themed and they came up with making the car a ballet pointe shoe! She helped Joel design it, he cut it out and she sanded it and painted it. She really did most of it herself this year, which was really fun.Waiting to race...
There were about 3 dozen cars that competed in the Spark's club. Each car raced four times.
Tess's ballet car wasn't built for speed but she took third prize in the design category!
So proud of our girl--mostly because this generous, sensitive girl told us after the race that she would rather just give her trophy to one of the kids who were crying because they lost.

Such a sweet heart she has, not to mention a flair for design!
I know it doesn't matter to Tess but in my humble opinion she should've won first for design! That car is TOO cute! :-)
