We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter celebrating our risen Savior. I made an Easter Egg hunt for Tess in the morning around the house. I drew a picture in the first egg of where the next egg would be and so on. So it was like more like a clue-finding egg hunt. My mom used to do this for Steph and I. She would do little rhyme-clues in each egg to find the next one, I was glad I didn't have to get that creative yet with the rhymes, so that for now just a picture was good enough! She has so much fun and was actually a little sad when she found the basket at the end because she wanted to keep doing the search.
For breakfast we made "Resurrection Rolls" (thanks to Heidi Jo for the great tip!) You dip a marshmallow in butter and then in sugar and cinnamon to represent the way Jesus' body was prepared for burial and then put it in a crescent roll (making sure the marshmallow is completely sealed.) A little more butter and sugar/cinnamon on top and then into the oven (the tomb.) After cooking you open the tomb and the marshmallows aren't there anymore! He is risen indeed! And they are yummy!
Here are some pictures of my girls in their Easter best.
Since Joel is in Finland for another 7 weeks, here's a self portrait of me and Tess.
