Lavender Blue

Just had to write a quick thought tonight. I am so thankful for my girls. I love them more than I thought humanly possible. As a beautiful lullaby version of "Lavender blue..." was playing on the CD player, I sat rocking sweet little Gracie Rose. As she was asleep on my shoulder, I just wanted to breathe her in, just soak in that smell of her baby hair, that sweaty little head against my cheek, the warmth of her on my chest. I looked over at Tess a few feet away in her bed and she looked so beautiful, so peaceful. The last rays of sunlight peeking in through the window and across her bed. Her hair up in a bun, her thin graceful arms hugging Magenta close, her eyes half open. As I look at her, she smiles a content smile and hold up her hand and signs "I love you." I am so blessed. Yeah, I'm crazy sleep deprived, rarely get a half hour to myself a day, but I know I just need to soak in these sweet moments and take a mental picture. I will be longing for moments like these in a few short years.

So sweet! I wish I could write like that! I hope you and your girls are doing well. I check in at least once a week, but don't always stop to say hello. We are planning on coming to Cedarville this fall; will you be at the reunion? We must make plans to see each other! Take care, Angie

I love the way you write! These are precious times for memories. I know the girls will treasure reading your thoughts when they are older.
