Ballet

Last week was parent observation at Tess' ballet school. It was so fun to observe a class and see how quickly she is improving (see video at end of post.) She has been taking classes for about 8 weeks now and she takes her classes very seriously. It is a weekly class with 45 minutes of ballet and 15 minutes of jazz. Ballet is such a great fit for her, she is graceful, gentle and expressive. She has already informed us that she will be the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker when she gets older and already choreographs her moves to the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy music.

Here she is trying on her costume for her May recital.
Practicing cartwheels in the living room.
Working on handstands.
And of course, whatever Tess does, Gracie Rose has to try! (not too bad for a two year old!)
Tess reminds us that it takes muscle to be a great ballerina!
Here is our little ballerina in action.
