We had an eventful Easter celebrating our risen Savior! It was wonderful to spend Easter together as a family, which we haven't been able to do for a few years with Joel's busy travel schedule. And amazingly we actually got a family picture taken!

We enjoyed doing Resurrection Eggs together as a family and doing a few Easter crafts. This tomb craft is actually a potato in a "dirt" pile of brown sugar. A sweet old man gave the girls a few little stones that he made about Jesus, which Tess thought would be perfect for our project.

One of our stained glass (tissue paper) cross crafts.

We did our yearly scavenger egg hunt for the girls. We gave them the first clue which led them to the next egg with the next clue, and so on, ending in a surprise!

Contemplating the next clue...

We spent the Easter holiday with my family in the DC area and had a wonderful time. The girls enjoyed loving on their adorable cousin, Steven.

Seriously, isn't he the cutest?

The girls had fun at a community egg hunt.

Maw Maw and Pop Pop did some rearranging and surprised the girls with a newly decorated room!

Of course a trip to MD wouldn't be complete without a visit to our favorite face painter! Gracie was determined to be a cheetah, which she pronounces "cheenah"- one of last baby mispronunciations that I don't want to correct! Seriously, every time I watch this talented lady do her artwork, makes me want to do this as a side job! Thankfully my in-laws thoughtfully bought Tess a face painting kit for her birthday so we've been practicing recreating them at home! (Hmm, I'll have to do a post of our at-home creations!)

What a wonderful Resurrection Day celebrating new life!
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
