Farm

I took the girls this week on a farm field trip. Immediately after we arrived, the girls were befriended by the little girl whose family has run this farm for decades.

Here they are together on a wagon ride.
The girls had the opportunity to plant pumpkin seeds for the fall pumpkin patch.
Trying their hand at "milking" Bessie, the plastic cow.
Of course, the best part of a farm in the spring is seeing the baby animals! Here is a seven day old lamb and lots of bunnies and baby chicks!
This farm has many fun activities for the kids including these old water pump duck races! They also went through a hay bale maze, played in a big sand box, enjoyed playing on a wood boat play set, and heard a talk about farming and the food pyramid.
This picture just makes me think they should start signing water together. "W-A-T-E-R!, Yes, Helen, water!!" (Memories of playing playing Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker in high school.)
A very fun huge swing made out of drainage tile!
And lastly, finishing off the day with a stop for a cool ice-cream cone after a fun, but hot trip to the farm!
