The girls had a blast at our church's VBS this year (as they do every year!) The theme was Saddle Ridge Ranch which my little cowgirls loved as they learned about missions, did crafts, played games, had cowboy snacks, heard Bible stories, learned Bible verses and sang their little hearts out. We still hear and see the motions from the songs they learned (any other parents out there still hear "Tumbleweed" on a daily basis?) I helped out in registration and Joel was a sheriff (security) all week. Our church had about 375 kids in attendance and over 200 workers. It is so professionally done and just a wonderful time for kids from all over the area. Here are some pictures from our week. Some of the crafts the girls made... Tess listening intently to the missionary cowboy and his horse, Spirit. The girls loved getting into their cowgirl gear each night. Water night! The girls getting dunked with water by their friends before running through the fire truck water hose! This was Gracie's first year being able to go to a real VBS class. She made a best friend with the teenage helper in her room and they became inseparable all week. They both just adore each other! Here they are on family night sharing a snow cone and cotton candy. Miss Abby has already promised that she will always work in whatever class Gracie is in during the upcoming years! So sweet! Family night is like a big block party in the parking lot. Face painting, cotton candy, snow cones, bounce house, food, and a barrel train pulled by a tractor! Isn't this just beautiful? I think it was God showing us how pleased He was with such a great week worshiping Him! And finally, a video of my girls doing some boot-scootin!

Vacation Bible School--what great fun for the girls as they learn about the Lord! And they'll be singing those VBS songs for years to come. MawMaw
