Reuben

Hunter (and catcher) of multiple birds, moles, cats, a raccoon
and more

Destroyer of shoes, crates, remote controls, pillows, door knobs,
etc, etc, etc...

Impressive strength and tolerance of pain

Fervent protector of the girls and I (especially when Joel was out of town or during my pregnancies)

Guardian of our yard, always alerting of us of anyone near

Beautiful, fluffy, soft coat of white and orange with freckles

Despiser of the UPS man, the meter man and being alone

Wonderful travel companion on numerous trips

Enjoyer of running (away), hunting, car rides, belly rubs, being chased, dog parks and treats from the mailman

Amazing understanding and smarts

Visitor to a professional theatre company, scene shop, retirement community, preschool, dog parks, camp grounds, parades, playgrounds, family members homes and more

Rare giant, a typical Brittany is 35-45 pounds, Reuben topped the charts at 64 pounds-not overweight, he was just a BIG boy

Our spoiled first "baby"

Gentle friend to Tess and Gracie, even when they laid on him, fed him, kissed him or dressed him up for a tea party
Unconditional, faithful and constant lover of us all.

Our beloved Reuben

We'll always remember looking out our picture window to the front yard and seeing Reuben with a red wing sticking out on each side of his mouth. He was quick! He loved coming to Camp Slanker and running in the woods to see what he could stir up.
We loved our Reubie-Doo.

So sorry for your loss. I hope your girls are doing well (you guys, too). I'm sure this is hard for you all. Great post about him.

What a sweet-spirited "gentle giant" he was--dear, sweet Reuben. We loved him and will miss him, but will remember him with fond memories. Bailey and Toby will miss their "buddy" too!
