We enjoyed an afternoon with friends at a local pumpkin patch this week. 
There was a lot of fun things for the kids to do: a pumpkin roll game, hay bales to climb on, a tube slide and a sandbox with corn instead of sand.
The farm also had a seven acre sunflower patch with a path winding through it. Unfortunately, the flowers were really past their prime. Next year we need to remember to visit a few weeks earlier when the flowers are in full bloom, but is was still amazing.
